myHomeGateway.com is a service of the Bay Area Home Buyer Agency and is an integral part of the First Home family of online resources. myHomeGateway.com's sole purpose is to provide Bay Area home buyers quick and easy access to the innovative and comprehensive assistance programs, education, and counseling provided by the Bay Area Home Buyer Agency.

The site originally launched a temporary site in the Spring of 2004 to provide users with online seminar registration. Since then, the site has grown to include detailed Home Buyer Assistance Program information and an online Home Buyer Counseling Worksheet.

As the needs of Bay Area Home Buyers continue to grow and as the Bay Area Home Buyer Agency expands its program and service offerings, so will this site. Our goal is create a one-stop online resource for you, the home buyer. In order to meet this goal, we need your feedback. About the Bay Area Home Buyer Agency

The Bay Area Home Buyer Agency helps cities and counties in the nine-county San Francisco Bay Area provide homebuyer program services to constituents who could not otherwise compete effectively for ownership housing in today’s housing market.

Jurisdictions affiliated with BAHBA may access a clearinghouse of information related to financial assistance programs, below-market-rate homes, local and regional policy initiatives, and other homebuyer services; and may access a variety of coordinated and cost effective homebuyer education, counseling, program administration, and financial services. Any Bay Area city or county may subscribe as a BAHBA Program Partner.

BAHBA was organized in 2000 as a joint powers authority of two counties and twelve cities under the name East Bay Delta Housing Finance Agency. Building on experience gained through an initial offering known as East Bay Delta Lease Purchase Program, the Agency is now implementing the broader range of homebuyer programs envisioned.
